The beneficiary applied to The Rehabilitation Centre as a result of an ischemic stroke, with a diagnosis of left-sided hemiparesis.

In addition, he also had a spinal injury and severe pains in the lumbar region, limitations of movement of the left knee and arm joints, which also spread to the lower limbs. As a result of the stroke, the beneficiary was completely immobilized and turned to The Rehabilitation Centre in a wheelchair.

First of all, the physical and psychological condition of the patient was examined and assessed, after which specific goals were set, which the physiotherapist had to achieve as a result of her work.

Through physical therapy, gym and occupational therapy, the patient’s weak muscles were strengthened, short muscles were stretched, limited movements were activated, and balance was improved.

After the first stage of treatment, the beneficiary was already moving with a walker and at the moment with a 4-point cane.

The main goal of our physiotherapist is to prepare the patient for independent movement and contribute to the development of his self-care.
