Our patients

Recently, Aznavour, who has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, was admitted to the Rehabilitation Centre for inpatient treatment. Before the last Artsakh war Aznavour’s family lived and worked in Hadrut.

Due to the distance and work, Aznavour could not be taken to a rehabilitation center for the necessary treatment; his mother took care of him. After the war their family was forced to move from Hadrut and now they live in Stepanakert. They tried to rent an apartment suitable for Aznavour so that there would be no obstacles to get him out of the house.

Today, 32-year-old Aznavour receives the services of a physiotherapist, psychologist and speech therapist at the Rehabilitation Centre. Our specialists try all possible means to regulate his physical and psychological condition. For years, Aznavour did not have a wheelchair that matched his condition, and the existing medical chair did not fit his size, which is why he was mostly bedridden at home. Today, however, he is provided with a wheelchair that fits his physical condition. And our specialists work hard that he can adapt as much as possible to the correctly positioned wheelchair.

Let’s hope that Aznavour’s treatment will be continuous and his parents will regularly take him to the Centre.

Aznavour has already registered in the Home Visit Department, thus, he will receive the necessary medical supplies and diapers.
