Today, more than ever, we all need to focus on assessing the physical condition of the new generation and ensuring an active lifestyle. In order to have a solid foundation and to achieve the necessary results it is essential to develop the sports. As we know, sports do not receive proper attention in Artsakh and it is mostly ignored in the regions. Given the physical condition of children, schoolchildren and young people we are convinced that sport should become a part of our lives. The teaching of physical education is mandatory in the educational system of Artsakh starting from kindergarten but the results show that it must be considered with new approaches in order to achieve certain results. Is physical education properly taught in kindergartens, schools, colleges, and universities? Are those institutions provided with appropriate conditions and specialists? If we get adequate answers to these questions we can avoid the problems caused by the lack of physical activity of children and adolescents. The most important period for the physical training of all children is the school age: 6-10 years. Children of that age love physical education the most – this period is the most effective for schoolchildren to develop the habit of regular physical activity. The speed of movements and agility develop the most in the primary school age. After all, sports are necessary to have a healthy and strong generation. Children of 6-8 years old often have posture disorders who come to The Rehabilitation Centre. Working with them we came to the conclusion that the subject of physical education, to put it mildly, is not taught well in schools. The number of conscripts over the age of 18 who are not physically fit for service is increasing. This gives rise to a deep concern and becomes an imperative requirement that the physical education at schools be taken more seriously than it really is, putting it on an equal footing (or higher) with mathematics and language courses. The Rehabilitation Centre attaches great importance to sports and its impact on a person’s life. There is a separate sports club in the center where our patients, in addition to the necessary treatment, play their favorite sports. Given the recent age indications at The Rehabilitation Centre it is clear that the adolescents’ problems are due to a lack of sports. The Rehabilitation Centre urges not to neglect sports and to make it a part of our lives. And finally, let us remind you that from now on we must have a healthy and strong generation because we are the future of our country so we must be able to value our lives.
