Today is International Disabled Day

Since 1992, December 3 has been celebrated as International Day of People with Disabilities. By raising the issues facing people with disabilities on this very day we try to find possible ways to address them helping to improve their quality of life. None of us is insured against disability so each of us must be able to accept people as they are and try to create favorable conditions for them by removing the barriers they face.

The purpose of The Lady Cox Rehabilitation Centre is to serve people with disabilities. Hundreds of people with disabilities are treated here and many are given the opportunity to work here in combination with the treatment. From the very first day of the centre’s activity all possible favorable conditions for people with disabilities have been created.

For many, the Rehabilitation Centre is not just a place of healing but a second home where everyone waits for each other, listens, respects, accepts, and creates an environment to fulfill their lives with positivity.

Today we all need to think for a moment about those people who live next to us but are physically and mentally different. We have to realize that they are not alone and we are by their side.
